Despite the apparent abundance of clean water in the US and most of the developed world, more than 1 billion people around the world lack clean, safe drinking water and more than 2.6 billion lack adequate sanitation services. Read More
Join us as we take action to address this critical global problem. Major events and activities are being planned in New York, Los Angeles, and Seattle as well as select local communities. Walk for Water in your city or virtually, and please help us spread the word.

Join the Virtual Walk
If there is not a Walk in your area, you can join the global "Virtual Walk For Water". We’ll include your name in a symbolic water jug to be carried by a participant in one of the local Walk for Water events.
Do you feel passionately about solving the world water crisis? Create your own personal Water Advocate page. Express yourself. Tell the world why this issue is important to you, upload a photo, and add links to your favorite sites. You can use your Water Advocates page to invite others to join you at World Water Day 2008 events.

You’ll get credit for people you bring into the network. Those who bring the most will receive special recognition at select World Water Day events.
